Event detail
Superconductivity and Liquid Nitrogen
2pm, 25 March 2009, Graveney School, London
William Buttinger an alumni of Graveney School and Cambridge graduate introduce the theory of superconducting magnets.
Using liquid nitrogen, William was able to demonstrate the powerful magnetic properties of some superconducting materials. Of course having liquid nitrogen allowed us to freeze rubber, smash petals and fry an egg Heston Blumental style.
